I will be adding to all of these sections as time goes by. This is not intended to be an all inclusive list. These are just some of my own favorites.
Incense
Mood Enhancers
Amber and Vanilla incense do wonders to create a relaxed and romantic atmosphere.
Night Queen incense is good for both romance and creativity.
Rose incense will lift and refresh one's spirit, and open the psyche.
Protection
Psychic Stimulators
Rose and Sandalwood are excellent as psychic stimulators, and the smoke is pleasant. Others that I have found effective are: Cinnamon, Anise, Nutmeg,
Purification and Exorcism
Of course there are the traditional sage bundles that can be burned. These are always helpful. But I have some other herbs that I prefer for cleansing a space or for personal use.
Rose and Sandalwood incense are great for this, and have a wonderful fragrance. These two will balance the energies in a room and in yourself.
Other herbs that I have found useful as incense for cleansing are: Cinnamon, Myrrh, Clove, Frankincense, Pine, and Peppermint. Patchouly is found helpful by many people, but I don't like the odor.

Teas and Infusions
I always advise caution in using even the safest of herbs in and on one's body. The possibility allergic or unexpected reactions must not be ignored.
Opening the Third Eye
A tea of Mugwort, Rosemary, and Rose will open the third eye and provide psychic protection in the process. Bring 1 cup of water to a boil then remove from the heat. Add equal parts of 1 teaspoon of each of the herbs in dried form to the water, and allow it to steep for 20 minutes. The tea will then be ready to drink. This is quite effective in seeking inner clarity and vision when coupled with preparation for meditation. Mugwort has a bitter taste, but a little honey in the cup helps. Or if you prefer, you can make a larger quantity to add to a bath, with excellent results. For a bath I would steep 1/4 to 1/2 cup of each dried herb in 2 quarts of just boiled water for twenty minutes. Then it will be ready to add to a bath.
Other herbs that can be used in the same manner and I have found to be fairly safe for me are: Celery, Cinnamon, Eyebright, Honeysuckle, Marigold, Peppermint, Rowan, Thyme, Yarrow, and Wormwood. (I only use Wormwood in occasional bath infusions, as it can act as an accumulative poison when injested)
Lemongrass is another favorite of many people, but I am allergic to it. Star Anise is quite good, but be careful on how much you drink as it is a digestive and can have a laxative effect.
